Parker’s expansion module series IQAN-XC2x and IQAN-XC4x can be added to an IQAN system to expand its I/O. They have voltage, digital, PWM and frequency inputs. The outputs are digital.
The modules communicate with an IQAN master module via a CAN bus connection.
The IQAN-XC4x expansion modules are designed and certified according to IEC 61508 SIL2. When controlled via an IQAN-MC4xFS master module, these expansions can be used in safety functions up to EN ISO 13849-1 PLd.
The XC2 family can support up to 20 inputs and 8 outputs, and the XC4 family can support up to 50 inputs and 36 outputs.
The housing has protection rating IP66 + IP69K and is a robust mechanical design specifically designed for outdoor use under harsh conditions.
