IQAN-MC42
Master controllersThe IQAN-MC42 controller is the middle module of the MC4 series. This unit is well suited for applications such as task-oriented controllers, implementation of various general and more complex functions on a vehicle (e.g. driver for electrical and hydraulic functions). The IQAN-MC42 is designed as an IEC61508 SIL2 Functional Safety (-FS) variant or a standard controller.
The CPU architecture of the IQAN-MC42 provides sufficient computing power making it capable of executing fast dynamic (1 ms) control loops for time critical functions.
The unit features 3 CAN bus communication interfaces with different protocols.
There are voltage inputs in 2 different ranges, current loop inputs for 4-20 mA, timing inputs (used for frequency, PWM and pulse control) and digital inputs.
The IQAN-MC42 has 6 dual proportional outputs for controlling valves. These outputs can control up to 6 bi-directional proportional valve sections or 6 single solenoid devices (e.g., proportional cartridge valves). The unit also has 16 PWM outputs.
The housing has protection rating IP66 + IP69K and is a rugged mechanical design specifically designed for outdoor use under harsh conditions.
