InterfacesThe Universal Drive Interface (UDI) is a compact EtherCAT module that controls up to 4 motor servo drives with a ± 10V analog interface. He supports couple setpoint (only ± 10V differential signal per axis) and sinusoidal commutation current setpoint (two ± 10V differential signals per axis). The feedback options include 4 incremental encoder and 2 absolute encoder interfaces.
The UDI is available in two versions:
- UDIHP – high-performance version
- UDILT – economic version
The UDlLT uses a 10-bit DAC to generate the ± 10V output commands and only supports digital encoders (both incremental and absolute). The UDlHP uses a 16-bit DAC ± 10V output command and also supports fast analog Sin-Cos encoders with frequencies up to 5 MHz.
