With the heavy duty elastic jaw coupling from R + W Couplings, the connection is made by two hubs with claws, with an elastomer element in between. This principle transmits torque without backlash or vibration. The elastomer hardness determines the character of the entire drive system.
Backlash is eliminated by the press fit of the elastomer in the hub. By choosing from different types of Shore hardness’s, it is possible to optimize this heavy duty coupling to the ideal torque range, damping properties and drive behavior.
