The IQAN-MC4 series of controllers is designed for controlling electrical and hydraulic systems in mobile implements, with 12/24 Vdc power supply.
There are 2 types of controllers:
Performance versions, optimized for calculation speed.
Functional safety versions, for use in safety functions
The controllers for use in safety functions are designated FS, Functional Safety.
The IQAN-MC4xFS controllers are designed and certified according to IEC 61508 SIL2.
Each IQAN-MC4x or IQAN-MC4xFS is a master unit on which applications developed by IQANdesign can be run.
The MC4x controllers have varying amounts of local I/O for digital and analog inputs and outputs and multiple CAN buses that support the IQAN expansion module protocol, IQAN diagnostics, SAE J1939 and the generic CAN protocol.
By supporting SAE J1939 and the generic CAN protocol, the MC4x can act as a sub-master when higher performance is needed in a sub-network or when another master is present in the implement.
This product is designed for the outdoor environment and comes with IP6K9K
protection for applications involving high-pressure water and steam cleaning of the implement.
