SPiiPlusSC High Performance Programmable Motion Controller
Motion controllersThe SPiiPlusSC motion controller is a soft motion controller. Installed on an (industrial) PC, this motion controller offers the most advanced and highest performance possible within high-end mechatronic applications. Using the processing power of modern PC technology and the connectivity of the EtherCAT industrial network, this provides the user with the flexibility required in today’s control technology. Now a standard PC with Windows can realize the machine application, the graphical user interface (GUI), the SPiiPlusSC real-time motion controller, and PLC without specific hardware.
The SPiiPlusSC control software, which includes its own real-time operating system, runs on one of the processors of a multi-core PC and communicates with the host applications via shared RAM and virtual TCP/IP. The SPiiPlusSC controls all motor drives and I/O modules through a standard Ethernet port of the PC, which is used as the EtherCAT communication port.
